Description Summary Under general supervision from the Associate Director of Student Recruitment, within the Office of Recruitment, in The College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services (CECH); assist in the administrative and operational activities of the Office of Recruitment; assist in the development and implementation of recruitment strategies, programs and events targeting a specific segment of students; identify prospective students for our graduate programs; manage inquiry through new student life cycle.
Characteristic Duties This is a highly visible position responsible for increasing awareness and building enthusiasm for CECH through student recruitment initiatives, outreach and communication, and specialized events. Support in the day to day operations of the the Office of Recruitment; answer questions and resolve complex issues; recommend alternative guidelines, when applicable; maintain and stay abreast of trends in student recruiting and changes in academic programs; assist with development of long-range plans and strategies to achieve unit, department and university goals for areas of responsibility; monitor and achieve established goals; compile data required for internal and external reports and assessments. The Enrollment Services Advisor will generate inquiries from prospective students that convert to enrolled students, and will represent the Office of Recruitment at state and nationals professional meetings, recruitment/college fairs, events, and presentations at schools, colleges, and organizations with 80% on road recruitment activities. Maintain collaborative relationships with departments/units regarding recruitment efforts that enrich the student experience. The Enrollment Services Advisor is responsible for developing relationships with other colleges and corporate/community organizations.
Duties also consist of conducting telephone appointments/interviews to provide information on the institution and college's admissions process and requirements, to qualify candidates, explain academic programs, and assess prospective students' fit with program; provide excellent customer service to students through application, enrollment, and initial term start; monitor the application process from initial application submission through the first term of enrollment; implement lead management strategies from inquiry through start of first term; effectively use CRM to track interactions and progression of all leads; support new students through registration completion; assist in the execution of university Admissions Department organizational processes/procedures. Assist in the determination of internal rules, policies, procedures, controls, and manage processes to advance service levels. Achieve daily key performance indicators related to speed to lead, call management, and applications vetted.

Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in related educational program, student affairs administration, or other related field with three (3) year experience in graduate student recruiting; -OR- Bachelor's degree with five (5) years experience; Ability to travel on a daily basis and work weekends and overnights (80% on road travel); Strong written and verbal communication skills; Experience may also require at least one (1) year in an outbound recruitment office.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in sales is preferred. Experience with/in Teacher Education is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a plus. Candidates should be able to prioritize duties to meet changing demands. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and relationship databases is helpful.
