Reporting to the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Engagement, the Director of Admissions oversees the day-to-day operation and provides leadership to ensure quality service to prospective and new students, families, and the community. Directs and trains the staff to work in the most effective and efficient manner; oversees all Admissions and Recruitment functions/events.
Provides daily direction and training to the Admissions Team
Oversees the daily admissions functions; oversees all recruitment activities (on & off campus)
Develops and implements admission recruitment strategies and recruitment plan
Develops admissions data reports and analyzes enrollment data for all majors
Develops yearly goals and objectives for the Admissions Team and evaluates staff annually
Directs/supports the staff to develop and build relationships within the College community, hospitals, community agencies and high schools
Works with Marketing/Communications Department to develop admissions and recruitment publications
Oversees the communication plan for prospective and new students
Manages the transfer credit for new students
Communicates with staff on policy changes, procedural changes and updates related to the admissions and recruitment function; develops and maintains written policies and processes
Develops and monitors the budget for the Admissions office
Maintains admissions related materials on the College web site, catalog and any other information sources
Attends professional trainings and workshops relative to position
Develops and implements all admissions training
Assists the Vice President with developing & implementing processes and procedures to continually improve our services to students
Assists the Vice President in defining admission enrollment goals
Serves on committees and advisory councils as needed or assigned
Baccalaureate degree required
At least three years’ experience working in College Admissions
Prior experience supervising and managing
Experience working in a student information system
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products
Work experience that involves building student or customer service relationships
