Responsible to the Director of Student Services for the recruitment of nursing students and admission of graduate nursing students. Works closely with the Director of Graduate Programs. The position enables the College of Nursing to increase high quality applicants across its degree programs with special emphasis on graduate programs. Specific attention will be given to the MSN program. Recruiting for the other programs may be required as necessary. This position requires significant travel (reimbursable) to off-site locations for recruiting activities. Provides accurate information to prospective students for the College of Nursing Attends recruitment fairs and events representing the College of Nursing Establishes relationships with regional health-care agencies and secondary and post-secondary institutions to implement a schedule for visitation to recruit students Assists applicants in the interpretation of University and College of Nursing admission policies Assists with development of effective recruiting materials through print and online Establishes and maintains a social media presence for the College of Nursing Develops goals and implements reporting strategies to determine effectiveness of recruitment strategies Creates and maintains a contact database for pre-planned recruiting activities Creates and maintains a contact database that includes information on prospective students Reviews student grades to determine if students are on track for the major or who need intervention to move to another major. Closely monitors students through the admissions processes In concert with director, assembles reports to present to CON administration Receives and screens applications for graduate programs. Maintains contact with applicants to apprise them of application status. Prepares applications for review by appropriate committees. Serves as administrative liaison to admissions committees; coordinates review of applications by the committees; maintains data, develops reports; coordinates all official correspondence to applicants. Oversees scheduling of applicant interviews.
