DESCRIPTION: The Admissions Counselor reports to the Director of Admission and works closely with the Admissions Team in achieving aggressive admissions targets. To ensure the smooth functioning of LCA’s Admissions and Marketing priorities, the Admissions Counselor utilizes a wide range of organizational, clerical and administrative abilities and must be proficient in the use of databases and technology. Coordination of recruitment events, both on and off site, requires representing the Academy at school fairs, conferences and occasional evening and weekend events. Communication with prospective families is a significant component of this position. Candidates must be committed to a team concept and willing to support the entire school program.
The Admissions Counselor:
Works with the Team in planning and executing the Strategic Plan to achieve identified goals.
Help to manage the implementation of our new database.
Effectively communicates with prospective families from initial inquiry and through the application and interview process. Is the first responder to prospective families, accurately presenting the mission of the Academy.
Facilitates scheduling of tours, student visits and interviews.
Manages data sources and student files related to the application process, with significant attention to detail.
Coordinates SSAT entrance testing.
Assists Director in tracking data and generating statistical reports; facilitates analysis of enrollment statistics.
Participate in SEVIS training and learn rules and regulations to provide support to international students regarding government requirements. Track documentation necessary to generate I-20 forms and manage student status on SEVIS website. Assists international students with documentation necessary for enrollment.
Updates admission information on the LCA website as well as on TABS and AISNE sites.
Works with the Team in developing and implementing social media strategies including managing the LCA Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Manages scholarship application process and prepares documents for scholarship committee meetings.
Recognizing that LCA is strongly committed to historic Christianity, the Admissions Counselor we seek must be committed to the Academy’s Statement of Faith, Standards for Christian Living, building up the body of Christ and helping to accomplish the Academy’s mission.
Applicant should be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and working in databases is required. Applicants must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and possess a positive, “can do” spirit. Strong communication skills are necessary and a Bachelor’s degree is required.

Salary & Benefits
This is a full-time, 12-month position. Salary is negotiable, commensurate with experience and/or qualifications.
