This position requires the successful candidate to be regionally located in the Nashville (TN) area, in order to recruit on behalf of the University of Louisville at surrounding high schools & college fairs. Pre-established residence in Nashville is not required, however relocation to Nashville is if not currently located there. This position will advise and counsel prospective students and families; review and adjudicate undergraduate applications for admissions; participate in outreach programs designed to expand the base of students interested in attending the University of Louisville.
The candidate will plan outreach programs for prospective students through the geographic area. Strong candidates must have proven experience with interpersonal and written communication skills. In addition, candidates must have aptitude with presentation and public speaking skills, basic technology capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and tasks and work independently in remote location without daily supervision. It is critical to be able to work collaboratively with alumni, academic units, and develop new relationships with high school counselors and community college staff. Position will require travel, weekend and evening work. The Admissions Counselor Sr. will work independently from out of their home, but will have select days throughout the year in which they are required to return to the main office in Louisville, KY.
Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements. The university offers market competitive salary and benefits. Grade NE1.
