This position is temporary with the possibility of conversion to staff. The expected length of the temporary assignment is through June 30, 2018.
The admission counselor is specifically responsible for meeting with prospective students and families, interviewing candidates to the college and conducting information sessions. The counselor will travel locally on behalf of the college: attending college fairs, interviewing candidates, and presenting to various contingencies (students, school counselors, community based organizations, business groups).
Key Responsibilities: • Interviews, conducts group information sessions, and travels to represent the College at high schools, community colleges, college fairs, and other appropriate programs (this includes some evening and weekend work). • Assists on major office initiatives or responsibilities that may include Student Volunteer Programs, Campus Events, Multicultural Recruitment, and/or other admission projects as assigned • Contributes to research, development, implementation, and content of various social media initiatives. • Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
Education Requirements: Minimum Level of Education Required Bachelor's Degree
