The School of Adult and Graduate Education (SAGE) at Cedar Crest College seeks a results-oriented, energetic, full-time Admissions Counselor with a commitment to providing quality service for adult learners. Successful candidates will be able to express the value of higher education, for both undergraduate and graduate degrees, for adult learners.
Responsibilities include recruiting for undergraduate and graduate programs, providing admissions counseling for prospective adult students, maintaining a regular communication process for prospective students, representing the College at both on- and off-campus recruiting events, and interviewing and following up with candidates for admission to SAGE, as well as reviewing all applications for admission and recommending action regarding admission. Some travel is required, and evening and weekend hours are expected.
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an applicable discipline is required. A minimum of one year of experience in recruiting adult students is strongly preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills are essential, as are exceptional interpersonal skills and effective time management. Candidates must also have prior experience in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
