Suffolk University invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Graduate Admission Counselor/Events. The Graduate Admission Counselor/Events will help support the enrollment processes for the graduate programs in the College of Arts (CAS) and Sciences and the Sawyer Business School (SBS). Reporting to the Associate Director of Graduate Recruitment, the Graduate Admission Counselor/Events will work as part of an admission team responsible for providing support of application review, recruitment travel, and the participation in on and off campus events for CAS and SBS. Emphasis will be placed on increasing awareness of Suffolk as a leader in graduate education, and increasing inquiries, applications, and enrollments of high quality students through strategic initiatives and superior customer service.
Responsible for strategically designing and implementing an admission event and campus visit program to support the overall goals.
Oversee admission and application review for multiple graduate programs, working autonomously and as a member of the team.
Counsel prospective students in person, via email, and phone inquiries regarding academic offerings and admission processes and conduct group presentations to recruit quality candidates to the university.
Represent the CAS and SBS graduate programs at local, national and international recruitment events to identify and attract best-fit candidates for Suffolk University.
Collaborate with the Director, Associate Directors and Office of Marketing and Communications to assist in the oversight of the purchasing of yield gifts and collateral (including vendor management).
Will perform other project work and liaison work as needed.
At least one year experience in recruitment and admission, preferred. Sales experience a plus.
