Job Description: The purpose of the job is to recruit prospective students from the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area to Texas State. Recruitment includes visits to high schools and two-year colleges as well as on and off campus programming. The position provides specific information on Texas State and advises students/parents so that the correct college choice might be made. This position reads admission files and recommends admission decisions. Must reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area
Job Duties: Responsibilities include: extensive travel to Texas high schools, two-year colleges and other community events; extensive contact and collaboration with high school and community college students, high school counselors, college advisors, university alumni and other community organizations; assisting with university programming such as campus visit days, bus trips and information sessions; assisting with preparation of correspondence and statistical reports; counseling prospective students and families in the college selection process; evaluating academic credentials; communicating admission decisions; assisting faculty and other departments in recruitment efforts; and other duties as assigned. Some overnight, weekend and/or evening work required. Must reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area
