Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator II for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The incumbent in this position acts as a junior admissions counselor, with responsibility for a range of duties typically associated with on-campus recruitment and programming.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
Assists with the coordination, planning and administration of on-campus recruitment and enrollment events.
Assists in the development of new events and improvements to the campus visit.
Manages logistics of targeted events within the Campus Programs Team.
Represents Rutgers at on-campus, off-campus and virtual events.
Conducts information sessions, makes presentations, and conducts counseling sessions at high schools, colleges and the Admissions Walk-In Center to meet students, families and school/college personnel for the purpose of recruiting and enrolling students.
Assists and supports projects associated with the Rutgers Visitor Center.
May review/prepare reports, maintain inventory and distribute supplies, maintain databases, and conduct web research.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong computer literacy
Must demonstrate solid judgment, organizational, planning, coordination, time management, multi-tasking and communication skills.
Motivated and imaginative with the ability to handle considerable and varied responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work well independently and on a team
Ability represent the university knowledgeably, articulately, and enthusiastically with an effective professional demeanor
Experience in a higher education setting
Event-planning experience is highly desirable
Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Valid driver license and passport required.
