St. Mark’s School seeks a hard-working, motivated, and customer service oriented individual to serve as an Admission Counselor. The successful candidate will possess the strong interviewing and interpersonal skills necessary to connect with the community and prospective students and families. This one-year position requires travel to area and regional schools and fairs throughout the fall and doing Admission work on Saturdays. Participation in the full life of a boarding school is an expectation to be filled by living in dorm. Due to the travel requirements of the position, candidates could only coach in the spring. A successful candidate will have a college degree and some work experience; familiarity with a boarding school is highly desired, although not required.
St. Mark's School is an Equal Opportunity Employer, valuing diversity in its many forms. This commitment is exemplified in numerous ways, such as our Chapel program, our Pathways programs for all new students, school representation at the numerous conferences and professional development opportunities, student-led affinity groups, an active Community and Equity Committee, and a strong commitment to issues of inclusion from the Board of Trustees. St. Mark's School is a coed, private boarding high school of approximately 360 students with a strong, college preparatory curriculum located 22 miles west of Boston and 12 miles east of Worcester. The small size of the community, its ideal location, and its rigorous intellectual atmosphere make St. Mark’s a great place to live and work. The School offers competitive salaries and a generous benefits package including retirement plan, paid vacations and medical insurance.
