The Senior Associate Director is responsible for the development, implementation, and assessment of UNL’s initiatives for resident, non-resident, international, and transfer recruitment and is responsible for shaping the academic profile and ethnic diversity of the first-year class. Specifically, the position organizes high school visit and college fair travel plans, manages UNL’s presence in resident and non-resident territories, oversees recruitment events on and off campus, and supervises the awarding of more than $2 million in scholarships.
This position is critical to UNL’s recruitment efforts, is the only of its kind, supervises more than 40 professional and office service staff members, and is responsible for the Office of Admissions in the director’s absence. This position will serve as the primary liaison regarding recruitment with UNL faculty/staff, community agencies, and high schools and community colleges. Responsibilities will include undergraduate recruitment, community relations, and implementation of programs that will allow greater use and visibility of the human, educational, and technical resources of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in these areas. Night and weekend activities and travel required. Criminal history background check and driving record review will be conducted.
