The Admissions Counselor in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions will counsel students, parents, and counselors about admission to Carolina; represent the university at events both on- and off-campus; welcome and support students, parents, and counselors who call, email, and visit the admissions office; provide administrative support to the admissions office; and perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to solve problems; think critically; work well with colleagues, students, parents, and educators; and speak and write clearly and persuasively.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
The selected candidate must have excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, as is the ability to take direction and work independently.
A bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
One year of related office experience is required. Experience with program and event planning is also strongly preferred, as is experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
