The Admissions Coordinator is part of the Operations and Communications team whose primary role is the systems/data administration and technology oversight for the Office of Admissions which includes both undergraduate and graduate populations. This position has a focus on data analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Process all application materials utilizing the Admissions CRM Technolutions,Slate.
Assist with the validating, editing, printing, and processing of all Admissions mailings.
Support and promote the admission goals for all student populations including first year, transfer, graduate and off-campus.
Assist with making edits and updates to the Admissions webpages.
Participates in the hiring, training, and day to day supervision of student workers.
Responsible for the updating of the tour script/tour route, coordinates tours for admissions events, and collaborates with admissions counselors for tour guide coverage as needed.
Process paperwork related to the maintenance of the department budget and serves as a liaison between the department and the Business Office.
Manage the bulk import of data from numerous internal and external sources.
Assist with the training of staff, student workers, and graduate assistants in Admissions Operations work flow and data entry. Document best practices for new and existing admissions operations procedures.
Responsible for creating queries for database oversight and tracking and to ensure systems are functioning accurately.
Conduct procedural changes in the CRM based on student movement through the Admission funnel.
Participates in occasional recruitment activities, including admissions presentations, fairs, high school visits, and evening and weekend recruitment events.
Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred undergraduate majors include Computer and Data Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience in higher education preferred.
Manage complex projects simultaneously while prioritizing day-to-day tasks with the ability to shift priorities under time constraints.
Ability to learn and master new technology, processes, and systems in a fast paced, collaborative environment.
Demonstrated ability to offer operational and technological support to more than one person and to communicate technical issues in everyday language.
The ability to work independently with success and to troubleshoot database concerns.
Able to hire, train, supervise, motivate, support, and lead students and to handle personnel matters creatively and diplomatically
Proficient computer and data management skills, familiarity with student information systems and/or Customer Relationship Management software a plus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate and to work comfortably with students, colleagues, and internal and external constituents, including diverse populations.
Knowledge of PING, Google Analytics, and UTM tracking for targeting/tracking communications and outreach.
Must have the ability to travel to and attend events on and off campus.
Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Grade 21; salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
