The University of San Francisco (USF) seeks two dynamic, campus-based Senior Associate Directors of Admission.
Both positions require a minimum of five to seven years of admission experience, bachelor and advanced degrees, proven experience in managing and navigating growth and change, excellent communication and community-building skills, adeptness in the use of relevant technology (e.g., Slate, Banner, and Slack), and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Senior Associate Directors report directly to the Assistant Vice Provost for Undergraduate Admission and are part of the admission office’s dynamic, creative, strategic, hard-working, and collaborative senior leadership team. The admission team as a whole is diverse, mission-driven, growth-oriented, and supportive of one another.
The specific positions are as follows:
Senior Associate Director of Admission for Transfer Initiatives manages the outreach, recruitment, admission, and credit evaluation of transfer students. In consultation with enrollment leaders, this Senior Associate develops analytically grounded and mission focused plans for meeting the transfer enrollment targets. Transfer students represent approximately one-third of every incoming class, and the goal is to enroll 325 in the fall and 125 in the spring. This position directs the Transfer Task Force team within Undergraduate Admission, supervises key staff who are charged with developing and executing initiatives to meet transfer goals, and chairs the Transfer Advisory Group (stakeholders from across the University who strive to support and improve transfer students’ experience). Successful candidates for this position will possess an affinity for this highly diverse student community and demonstrated understanding of and experience with public higher education in California—especially community colleges and the pipeline that California State University (CSU) and University of California (UC) have created for community college transfers.
