Reporting to the Dean of Undergraduate Admission, the Associate Director will play a leadership role in the development, implementation and monitoring of recruitment strategies designed to attract and enroll an undergraduate class of an appropriate size and mix, as defined by university-wide enrollment goals and the university strategic plan.
The Associate Director is responsible for the Visits and Events functional area of the Office of Admission, which includes the development, implementation and evaluation of all on-campus recruitment events, as well as DePaul sponsored off-campus recruitment events.
The Associate Director supervises all new Admission Counselors and serves on the Admission Committee as well as the Undergraduate Admission Management Team. The Associate Director also coordinates, facilitates, and participates in on and off-campus recruitment activities, including recruitment territory management, external outreach efforts, counseling of and presentations to prospective students and their families.
Responsibilities & Duties
Responsible for targeted programmatic recruitment initiatives--develops, implements and monitors recruitment strategies designed to attract and enroll an undergraduate class of an appropriate size and mix, as defined by university-wide enrollment goals and the university strategic plan.
Manages Visit and Events functional area of the Office of Admission, which includes the development, implementation and evaluation of all on-campus recruitment events, as well as DePaul sponsored off-campus recruitment events.
Serves on the Admission Committee, reviewing all marginal applicants and making decisions consistent with university policies and priorities, and as a member of the Undergraduate Admission Management Team, serving as a leader among our staff and creating policies consistent with office goals and professional standards.
Responsible for recruitment, selection, training, management of and evaluation of staff members.
Meets with individual staff members on a regular basis, approves vacation hours, oversees programs and main responsibilities and assists in their overall professional development.
Supervises up to nine full-time staff, including all new Admission Counselors, as well as other junior professional staff in the extended absence of other FYR Admission leadership position(s), as necessary.
Coordinates, facilitates and participates in on and off campus recruitment activities--manages a recruitment territory, implements outreach efforts to external audiences, counsels prospective students and their families, and conducts presentations on DePaul and the college search process.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
5+ years in College Admissions
Certifications & Licenses
Must have a valid driver's license.
Periodically spend extended time standing.
Occasionally lift more than 25 pounds.
