The Office of University Admission at Villanova University is seeking to hire a Senior Assistant or Associate Director who is responsible for managing the recruitment and yield process of underrepresented applicants in a designated territory by representing the University at select on and off-campus programs (i.e. high school visits, college fairs, Nova Nation Presentations, case studies, panels, etc.). This position will serve as a member of on-campus committees to foster relationships between the Office of University Admission (OUA) and the Office of Financial Assistance; Center for Access, Success and Achievement (CASA), Academic Advancement Program (AAP); and oversee scholarships designated for underrepresented students. Extensive weekend and evening hours are required.
This person is responsible for organizing, implementing, and managing Villanova’s recruitment efforts and yield activities, as well as the enhancement and continued maintenance of the volunteer Alumni Recruitment Network (ARN) from said region. Will also holistically read and assess all applications for admission from the designated territory and serve as a resource to students, parents and school counselors throughout the application process. Extreme confidentiality and discretion is required in regard to recruit and applicant information.
This individual also serves as an integral team member relating to initiatives that are aligned with the University’s mission statement and goals, and designated by the leadership of the Office of University Admission. This individual must be involved in professional organizations necessary to accomplish job responsibilities. Perform other duties and tasks relating to the recruitment and engagement of prospective and admitted students.
Bachelor’s degree is required, Master's preferred, Spanish proficiency a plus. Three to five years of working experience required, with preference given to those working in the field of college admission. Strong written and oral communication skills are required. In addition, the individual must be extremely well organized and be able to work independently, manage their budget allocation for recruitment and special programming, and be comfortable with a variety of technology and software (Concur, Banner, SLATE, Prezi, Microsoft suite, etc.) The individual must also have a valid driver’s license, and be comfortable with air travel.
