This position will have direct responsibility for UNL’s strategic plan to increase the number of students who pay the enrollment deposit and eventually enroll at UNL (decrease summer melt). This includes, but is not limited to, hosting events in prospective student communities and coordinate communications (emails, marketing, phone calls, SMS). This position will supervise a team of current student, welcome ambassadors, and a graduate assistant responsible for communicating with incoming students. The position will be responsible for coordinating deposited student activities with UNL’s academic community, the Office of Admissions, New Student Enrollment, Nebraska Extension, the NU Alumni Association, and the Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid. The position also analyzes data and ensures that goals are met; takes action consistent with this analysis and provides recommendations on enrollment strategies; interprets university policies and exercises authority and independent judgment in making enrollment decisions on a case-by-case basis. The position reports to the assistant vice chancellor for enrollment management, serves on the leadership team and works collaboratively with other members of the Academic Services & Enrollment Management (ASEM) leadership team. Travel, night, and weekend hours may be required.
