This position will advise, evaluate, admit and recruit students to Syracuse University study abroad programs (Syracuse Abroad). This includes responsibility for getting students from the application phase through commitment, and the provision of high levels of student service and support, including advising students, parents, colleagues and other constituents about Syracuse Abroad programs, policies and procedures. This role is also responsible for overseeing all aspects of Italian visa application and processing, including training and supervision of visa coordinator staff and acting as the liaison to foreign consular staff and university partners. Will act on behalf of Syracuse Abroad Assistant Director/Admissions when that staffer is out of the office to address serious student issues, act as point person with center directors and staff, troubleshoot staff issues, and lead staff admission meetings. Must be available to work outside normal business hours, and to engage in limited travel.
