The Director will provide daily supervision of all activities in the admissions function of the campus, including strategic planning, marketing, recruiting, and supervison of department.
The incumbent must understand the use of enrollment models to assist with institutional planning and determine optimal use of financial resources in the recruitment of new students.
The incumbent must be able to design and use internal reports to assess the success of ongoing recruitment operations.
The incumbent will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and selecting software used by Admissions.
The incumbent will establish policies and procedures for making admission decisions and will provide direction to employees on any decisions that require an exception to the established guidelines.
The incumbent will serve as the primary admissions contact for all international students.
The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating all recruiting events, campus tours, secondary school visits, junior colleges, college fairs, and overseeing all group and individual presentations.
The incumbent will be expected to build and maintain positive relationships with high school guidance counselors, administrators, faculty and students.
The incumbent will monitor the awarding of institutional scholarship funds.
The incumbent will be responsible for the preparation of all promotional materials such as brochures, advertisements, and all recruitment publications and communications.
The incumbent will coordinate and monitor the communication stream for all stages of the admissions funnel.
The incumbent will assist the AVPAA in strategic planning for the department including tracking and analyzing historical enrollment data, and updating departmental policies and procedures.
The incumbent will directly supervise positions Admissions Counselors and other Admissions staff.
Other duties include coordinating the evaluation of applications for admissions and the transfer admission process. The incumbent will provide on-going training and mentoring to all professional and student staff in the admissions area.
