The Vice Provost of Enrollment Management is a senior level administrative position reporting to the Provost.
The position will supervise multiple units, including the offices of Admissions, Recruitment Marketing and Enrollment Development, Project Lead the Way, Registrar, and Student Financial Assistance. The position will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to attract, enroll and retain talented students, as well as coordinating campus resources for student recruitment efforts throughout the University. The Vice Provost of Enrollment Management is a member of the Provost's Leadership Cabinet and provides critical insight regarding all areas in Enrollment Management. This includes serving as liaison for all campus and University of Missouri System activities, as well as working in partnership with key stakeholders, campus departments, and external constituencies in areas related to Enrollment Management functions to create best practices for the institution to implement. The position serves as the institutional resource for enrollment issues in higher education. This position includes responsibility for high-level strategic planning as well as oversight for technical and operational integrations related to Enrollment Management. Other duties may be assigned.
A Master's degree in a relevant area and ten years of experience from which comparable knowledge or skills can be acquired OR a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area and twelve years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired, is necessary. Ten or more years of progressive experience in student recruitment, admissions, or enrollment management, recruitment budget management as well as strategic planning in a higher education setting, is necessary. Supervisory experience is required.
The successful candidate will exhibit an innovative and entrepreneurial spirit, and will possess a track record of enrollment success, with a commitment to access and diversity. Experience in forming strategic partnerships to develop new programs is desired. Demonstrated experience in leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of student marketing, recruitment, and retention strategies as well as the effective management of professional staff. Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with internal colleagues and external constituents. Demonstrated experience in the implementation of strategic planning with tangible outcomes.
