About The Elevation Foundation
The Elevation Scholars Program
As one of the two primary programs of The Elevation Foundation, Inc., this program seeks to address the issue of “under matching” which is when high performing students from high need families do not apply to or attend the level of highly selective college or university warranted by their academic and extracurricular achievements. We believe under matching reinforces a cycle of neighborhood-based poverty and that The Elevation Scholars Program can break the cycles of generational poverty experienced by many of the extraordinary students we serve.
Who we are: The Elevation Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 public charity launched in 2014 as the philanthropic arm of Elevation Financial Group, LLC. The foundation’s mission is to transform distressed communities and its main focus locally is to address educational inequality among high performing, high need students. We currently serve in five (5) high schools within Orange County Public Schools and Seminole County Public Schools.
At Elevation Scholars, we develop personal relationships with talented students that face real economic challenges. We help by guiding them through the demanding college admiss...ions process, providing support during their college studies helping them fund college expenses, and exposing them to new career possibilities through real work opportunities. Longer term, we believe our students have great power to change their communities for the better – becoming key leaders in solving some of society’s most challenging issues.
