Reporting directly to the Vice President & Dean of Admission and Financial Aid, and working closely with the Director of Admissions, the Associate Dean of Admission and Coordinator of Operations is responsible for the coordination of information systems and hardware needs related to Admission (Slate) and Financial Aid (PowerFAIDS); executes such tasks as; transferring data to and from internal and external constituents; working with admission staff to build recruitment tools, and executing the communication flow as outlined by the Comm Flow Team. The Associate Dean also monitors and maintains Admission and Financial Aid website functionality and provides technical support; executes new Slate functions; and trains end users. The Associate Dean also oversees part-time Application Readers (hiring, training and supervision); and organizes the execution of application review.
Primary responsibilities are:
Supervises coordination of information systems related to Admission and Financial Aid.
Maintains a detailed knowledge of Slate and PowerFAIDS for the purpose of executing data functions and enhancing system capabilities as directed by supervisors:
Collaboratively executes data transfer to and from internal and external constituents.
Builds, updates, and executes new Slate features.
Executes communication flow as outlined by the Comm Flow team.
Works with Operations Staff to ensure a clean and well-maintained data base.
Maintains hardware, supports and updates all software platforms of the Office of Admission and Financial Aid.
Consults with Admission and Financial Aid personnel regarding future functionalities of the IT system, enabling great efficiency.
Consults with and trains end-users.
Maintains website functionality.
Manages interface between web forms and Slate
Manages part-time Application Readers to assure reading is being done accurately and in a timely fashion.
Manages execution of application review.

A bachelor's degree is required as is a minimum of 2 years’ experience in database management. Extensive knowledge of and experience with relational databases (Slate and PowerFAIDS preferred) and their underlying SQL language is required. The ability and willingness to provide excellent service and to work in a collegial manner with students, faculty and staff, and other constituencies is essential. This position must possess an ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner.
