Marymount School of New York seeks a Director of College Counseling for July 1, 2019. Marymount, located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan-- right across the street from the Met and Central Park-- is an independent, Catholic, all-girls school, enrolling 758 students in grades nursery through 12. There are currently 258 students in the Upper School.
Marymount seeks an experienced director of college counseling to join the School's senior administration. The Director of College Counseling has overall responsibility for guiding students and parents through the successful transition to post-secondary education by establishing and maintaining successful relationships with colleges and universities across the country, being an active member of professional organizations, and having extraordinary interpersonal and organizational skills.
Rooted in the Catholic tradition, Marymount School seeks to educate young women who care, serve, and lead and are prepared to challenge, shape, and change the world. The School celebrates the distinct skills, talents, and interests of each student, and accordingly, college counseling at Marymount celebrates the strengths of each student. Self-reflection and seeking college/universities that are a good match for each student are core tenets of the program.
