The Admissions Counselor will assist the Director of Admissions in the recruitment of new students and supporting activities related to the admissions process.
Assists in organizing, collecting, evaluating and maintaining information from prospective students (i.e., application forms, financial aid forms, school records, standardized test scores, letter of recommendations, etc.).
Help maintain the student applicant database, including updating student records.
Oversee administrative duties such as phone calls and emails to parents and elementary schools.
Meet with parents, prospective applicants and feeder school representatives to promote Fenwick High School.
Organize, arrange, and coordinate recruiting efforts. Visit elementary schools, churches, youth centers and other organizations serving potential candidates for admissions.
Coordinate and conduct tours of the School and other activities for prospective students and their families.
Coordinate and organize on and off campus admissions’ events to promote Fenwick High School.
Assist with marketing projects throughout the admissions cycle, creating and editing text when necessary.
Oversee the School’s “Shadow Program” (elementary students visiting Fenwick for the day).
Oversee social media communication to prospective students and their families.
Support school operations, outside the realm of Admissions.
B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent training/experience.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Strong presentation skills. Must be a good listener and able to respond to questions from prospective parents and students regarding the School, its policies and procedures.
