Associates Degree in related field. Three years relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Performs advanced administrative assistant duties for Enrollment Management staff serving the Proposed College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
Performs advanced administrative assistant duties. Provides departmental or university information to students, departments, and staff. Assists in developing policies and interprets policies and procedures. Attends meetings and takes notes. Prepares, reviews, revises and distributes documents and correspondence. Compiles, tracks, and reviews data and reports. Orders and maintains supply inventory. Handles P-Card purchases, travel requisitions and monitors expenses. Participates in activities involving the projection of the University's image to the public. Assists in the maintenance and execution of the department's recruitment and communication plans. Helps to secure students for the University who can best profit from the educational opportunities offered by the University. Screens applicants for interviews. Helps review applications for admissions to the University. Assists the Associate Director and Admissions Counselor in executing the interview process. Schedules appointments and activities. Assists in coordinating campus visit requests and tours of the campus by potential students and parents. Helps facilitate student's transition into the University. Serves on office committees as assigned. Assists in regularly contacting prospective students, parents, alumni, other state agencies and officials, junior/community college officials, and high schools and their officials. Aids in advising prospective students about admissions status, policies, and office programs. Responds to inquiries, helps guide prospective students, and serves as a point of contact for the proposed College of Osteopathic Medicine and Admissions. Assists in contacting academically superior students. Calls and follows up on prospective students. Performs other related duties as assigned.
