The Division of Enrollment Management (EM) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, (UT) invites applications and nominations for a Graphic Design & Brand Coordinator with EM Communications. We are looking for a passionate designer with a love of marketing and storytelling. This position requires creativity, interpersonal communication, and collaboration among the team and across campus. You'll join the fun and creative working environment of the EM Communications Office. As a member of the EM Communications team, this full-time, exempt position will be responsible for developing creative, innovative, and high-quality marketing materials across digital and print platforms. They will execute content and manage production related functions for advertising, email, digital messaging, photography, and limited video services. The coordinator will utilize strong concept development skills working on projects across multiple marketing channels and platforms.
Create unique and innovative marketing materials.
Conceptualize, plan, design, and produce content for print, online, video, and multimedia projects.
Consult with admissions counselors on development of strategic recruitment materials.
Research, benchmark, and evaluate competitors and industry best practices.
Develop best practices for EM division branding and design.
Continuously perform assessments and analysis of projects to determine if changes are needed to meet the desired outcome and timeline.
Oversee the production of printed materials, working with on-campus and off-campus print vendors.
Check proofs during production stages and review quality of final products before release to clients.
Develop multiple design concepts for consideration as needed.
Maintain a consistent message throughout the development and design process for EM.
Coordinate with the Office of Communications and Marketing to ensure that all designs are properly aligned with university branding and marketing standards.
Develop vendor relationships to obtain cost estimates for projects within quality specifications, financial constraints, and time schedule for projects.
Lead promotional item strategy for recruitment and retention of students with internal leadership team.
Lead the selection, design, and production of aforementioned promotional items.
Assess the needs of and determine quantities for materials.
Maintain image resource files and develop file-naming convention.
