Kentucky Wesleyan College, a private, liberal arts college with a long-standing reputation for quality and academic excellence, is actively seeking applications for a full-time Associate Director of Admissions. Report to the Vice President of Admissions and Financial Aid, the Associate Director supports student recruitment efforts through planning, coordination and program development; expands and strengthens relationships between constituent groups that support recruitment efforts; and enhances the overall quality of the process and production of the Office of Admissions.
Assisting with the management of the Office of Admissions, its staff, and its policies
Assisting with the establishment of measurable goals and objectives regarding departmental practice, procedure and outreach
Serving as member of department management team to ensure efficiency and efficacy of resources, both human and financial
Developing, managing and maintaining the annual admissions program calendar with input from all relevant constituencies
Providing leadership, development and management of admissions events and programs
Assisting with the development and monitoring of a comprehensive travel and recruitment program, including supervision of Admissions Counselors
Working collaboratively with Admissions staff to maintain high school guidance counselor engagement program
Providing leadership and supervision to admissions programs that involve current students
Participate broadly in the overall operations of the Office of Admissions
At least five years of higher education experience; admissions experience is preferred
Excellent communication skills
Organizational and management ability, high energy, and creative initiative
Enthusiasm for and ability to travel as well as a valid driver’s license
Ability to think critically and solve complex problems effectively
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and function independently with a high level of accountability while also being able to work collaboratively and as part of a team
