Utica College, a small comprehensive college in Upstate New York, is seeking a part-time Admissions Counselor to be responsible for the coordination, development and execution of undergraduate recruitment activities. This includes responsibility for on and off campus events, interviewing students, campus tours, high school visits and college fairs. The Admission Counselor will assist with transfer recruitment as needed to support enrollment efforts of the College.

Primary responsibilities include:
Conducts interviews for prospective students off campus; May review applications; Makes follow-up contact to prospective students via phone, email and text; Assists with daily administrative operations as appropriate; Responsible for the execution of weekend admissions events; May assist with undergraduate recruitment travel as needed; Takes an active role in the development of the department’s strategic and operational plans as required by department leadership. Works closely with department supervisor to develop and implement operational goals that support departmental success; Responsible for working with supervisor and other team members to achieve successful results on all established individual and departmental goals and key performance indicators; Possession of a valid U.S. driver’s license. License must meet insurance company rules and regulations for driving underwriting criteria. Must maintain a clean driving record as defined by College insurance carrier guidelines; Travel required;Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in related field required; Experience working in an admissions office (or other related student affairs and/or enrollment area) as an undergraduate student is desired; Minimum one-year experience in admissions or student affairs preferred; Travel required.
