Works with both undergraduate and graduate students in International Admission and Outreach. Serves as liaison with others outside the department. Performs work of a confidential nature, and exercises initiative to improve the department's efforts. Has knowledge of department/unit/program practices and policies. Regularly performs a significant amount of work that requires a degree of expertise. Responds to inquiries and researches information to resolve problems or issues. Oversees student employees. Manages the collection of application materials, reviews applications for admission and makes decisions on admission. Acts as a representative of LMU in recruitment events and meets with prospective students on campus.
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills and abilities needed to keep abreast of trends in the field and policy changes.
Must have intermediate knowledge of office machines, word processing, spreadsheet, email, software applications (such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). May train or assist others with technology.
Ability to mange time and balance multiple and fast changing responsibilities and priorities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
May update standard information/data to website/blog within the applications content management system.
