ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR FOR CAMPUS PROGRAMS , Office of Admissions , to serve as an admissions officer, with a primary focus on supporting campus visits. Will work under the direction of an assistant director of admissions to manage and oversee on-campus recruitment programs and initiatives and create a welcoming environment for diverse populations; review and select undergraduate applicants with a partial admissions caseload and actively participate in the admissions selection committee; regularly serve as the primary representation of MIT to campus admissions visitors; participate in several weeks of national and local travel to recruit students and meet with alumni/ae; and assist with other recruitment and yield activities as needed.
REQUIRED : a bachelor's degree; excellent organizational, interpersonal, customer service, public speaking, communication, technology, and data analysis skills; experience or interest in working with diverse populations; superior judgment and discretion; and a driver's license. At least one year of experience working in higher education preferred; as are bilingual/multilingual abilities. Regular evening and weekend work required during the academic year. Job #17572-5
