Lead ongoing efforts to produce a multitude of campaigns in all mediums (print, electronic and social media) throughout the admissions cycles to call attention to and create a demand for the January Freshman Class, Fall Semester Freshman Enrollment, Graduate Institute, and the Summer Academy. Support the admissions office of a nationally recognized liberal arts college by marketing the three academic program areas of the college. Support communications and marketing for Admissions. Conceive, plan, and manage electronic and social media marketing efforts. Take admissions in new promotional directions with measurable results. Assist with daily processing of key admissions procedures and inventory management. Perform related duties when necessary. To be able to execute detailed communications plan as coordinated by the Director. To be able and willing to work as many hours as necessary. To conduct oneself in a professional manner. To meet deadlines and goals as set by the Director. To have excellent communication skills (written, spoken, and graphic). To have an understanding and appreciation for the St. John’s College academic program, as well as the aims of liberal education. To have experience with project/program management. To contribute to the formation of an effective admissions team.
Two+ years of similar or related experience. A college degree. A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. Ability to get things done in a collaborative environment which includes two campuses and admissions programs on each campus. Coordinate and blend their promotional efforts. Must be organized and computer literate, including MS Office and social media tools. Experience with CRM systems preferred. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are necessary. Able to hold confidential information in a professional manner.
