The Director of Enrollment Management is responsible for the development, implementation, and successful execution of an aggressive admissions recruitment, enrollment, and communications plan that focuses on rapid growth in the graduate and online market.
Mentor and train staff members; inspire new thinking, confidence and high standards of performance and teamwork. Manage with an eye towards professional development, transparency and staff engagement with individual and team goals, personal accountability, and committed accomplishment;
Work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure balance in the entering class size, financial aid expenditures, tuition pricing, and head count and net tuition revenue goals.
Create and sustain a culture of shared ownership of enrollment management; educate the campus community about best practices in enrollment management for a liberal arts college.
With a focus on creative and contemporary digital marketing strategies, collaborate with the marketing team to ensure that branding and marketing programs provide a positive impact on revenue, applications, enrollment, transfers, and the image of the college.
Manage campus-based and regionally-located counselors and their recruitment, including the strategic analysis of potential new programs, markets, and areas for outreach.
Manage and develop meaningful targeted relationships nationwide in order to recruit engaged and action-oriented students;
Cultivate and maintain relationships with a wide range of cross-campus colleagues as well as schools, colleges, counselors, alumni, and friends of the college to achieve enrollment goals, and to build brand awareness;
Work closely with college faculty, departments, and programs to reach enrollment goals;
Lead in the analysis of data to determine the most efficient use of budget to meet the college’s new student enrollment goals;
Prepare and develop data-driven enrollment reports and issue regular progress reports on the results of all recruitment goals and efforts;
Coordinate an effective and timely admissions application process; implement best-practice in admissions, document management, and application review processes; and develop and implement admissions policies and procedures and standard data reporting;
Work directly with the marketing staff to create and sustain a consistent value message that all members of the Prescott community will use when recruiting, and assist in the promotion of the college;
Work with the financial aid office to develop, implement and adjust an annual student financial aid awarding plan.
Education and Experience
Experience and a record of success in developing and increasing enrollment with graduate and online programs and degrees
For the director level, Bachelor’s degree with five or more years in progressive roles in admissions/recruitment or related higher education setting and experience in management and motivation of professional staff are required. For a qualified candidate with additional experience and enrollment management expertise, the dean level will be considered.
Strong analytical, written, public speaking, and presentation skills are required
Skilled in building a viable prospect pool and strategically managing all actions through matriculation are essential.
Ability to work on work on simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment.
Must be willing to work a flexible and extended schedule; days, evenings, weekends as needed. Applicants must have a valid driver's license.
