The State University of New York System Administration Office of Enrollment Services seeks two talented CRM Specialists to assist with implementation and development of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution at many of our campuses as well as System Administration. One of the positions is a temporary project-based position with an anticipated duration of two years. With 64 college and university campuses, SUNY is the nation’s largest comprehensive system of public higher education. Responsibilities include supporting the implementation of the multi-campus CRM solution, acting as a technical resource for campuses, executing day to day operations of the CRM including the monitoring of logs, recommending approaches to design, assisting end users, creating ad-hoc queries and custom reports, maintaining data accuracy, providing support for system-wide recruitment events, reporting conversion data for various activities, creating processes for data collection, and developing thoughtful analysis in response to questions raised on trends, effectiveness, and correlations.
A successful candidate must have demonstrated proficiencies in managing various technologies; have excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills; be able to quickly learn and be proficient in new software applications; be able to identify and adapt to new opportunities; and work well in, and contribute to, a diverse, multicultural environment. The candidate must be able to organize and prioritize work, be proactive, follow through and simultaneously manage multiple priorities.
1+ years working in higher education
Demonstrated ability working with relational databases, and interpreting, analyzing and reporting data
Demonstrated ability to trouble shoot and problem solve in a technical environment
Excellent technical writing and communication skills, with specific skills in creating step by step instructions for technical activities
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Detail-oriented work style
Strong initiative, motivation, flexibility and intellectual curiosity
Some overnight travel may be required
Experience with SQL, HTML or other scripting languages
Technical experience with enterprise level, multi-user applications
Experience working in a college enrollment/admissions office
Experience with Slate or other CRM systems
