History, Culture, and Location
Established in 1983, Seattle Academy’s urban campus is composed of five buildings within a three-block radius. We have a Culture of Performance, in which students are challenged to take risks in front of a variety of audiences, combining disparate skills in moments of action to learn and communicate complex ideas. While all students are engaged in visual and performing arts classes, the Culture of Performance extends beyond the stage to the classroom, to the playing field, and to the community. The scho...ol’s dynamic setting requires of students physical and personal independence. Seattle Academy’s proximity to downtown Seattle affords ready access to libraries, museums, theaters, parks, and the professional community.
