The Assistant Director for Recruitment is the leader of WKU's recruitment team that serves as the primary first contact between the university and all undergraduate prospective students. This individual is responsible for training all members of the recruitment staff who work with all incoming, prospective, admitted, and enrolling students to assist them in choosing their program of study through their transition into WKU. The Assistant Director for Recruitment is responsible for assisting with the development of a comprehensive recruitment plan that complements WKU's Strategic Enrollment Plan (SEP).
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise all full-time and part-time admissions counselors, the Coordinator of Admissions Communications, the Diversity Recruitment Officer, the Admissions Graphic Designer, and the Coordinator of Admissions Outreach.
Collaborate frequently with the Director of Recruitment and Admissions, the Admissions Leadership Team, and with other members of the campus community on special projects and ad hoc initiatives to recruit students to WKU.
Coordinate all communication with prospective and admitted students, including, but not limited to: overseeing prospective student, parent, and school administrator marketing and communications, including social media outreach, texting campaigns, email campaigns, and direct mail communication while adhering to industry best practices.
Assist in the development of a comprehensive Recruitment Plan and activities which complements the University's Strategic Enrollment Plan.
Work closely with the Admissions Data Analyst and CRM Coordinator to ensure that communications are properly queued to target the desired audience.
Provide data-informed guidance on recruitment trips, including representation at national college fairs and high school visits around the country.
Work closely with the Marketing Department to assist with the implementation of the WKU's Marketing Plan, development of new publications, and updating of current publications to promote WKU.
Collaborate with and support recruitment activities in academic departments and/or colleges that relate to department, division and University objectives.
Serve as the primary liaison between the WKU Office of Admissions and any outside vendors who work on behalf of the office on enrollment and yield strategies.

Bachelor's Degree in related field.
Four years of experience in student services area with preference given to those with recruitment or admissions experience.
