The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) has an opening for the position of Help Desk and Computer Systems Administrator. The help desk and computer systems administrator provides IT support service for the association. This position responds to end user or management support requests and needs, with the primary focus being customer service and the ability to help, regardless of whether the problem is technical, user error, or training. The position is responsible for thoroughly documenting all relevant information to the support request. The administrator performs basic network administration functions, manages support tickets with the network support vendor, manages third-party applications, supports Microsoft Business Solutions, Office 365 and content management software, and troubleshoots equipment and network issues. Assists the director of information systems with website, network and cloud projects and research.
NACAC is an education association of more than 15,000 postsecondary and secondary schools, organizations, counselors, and college admission and financial aid officers that work with students as they make the transition from high school to postsecondary education. Provide troubleshooting and assistance to staff with Microsoft Business Solutions, Microsoft Office 365, Adobe applications, video conference and meeting software, telephones, computer equipment, and peripherals.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting to network, desktop, and/or systems hardware and software
Assist with installation and maintenance of telephones, computer equipment and printers.
Troubleshoot network issues. Work with staff and vendors to troubleshoot and report issues, test updates, and document changes.
Provide training to staff on business applications including Office 365, webinar, video conference, and content management software and desktop telephone equipment and software.
Research and review third-party applications and business solutions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience with website design, content management systems, and Salesforce.
Network administration skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of 4 years of experience required. Equivalent experience includes a high school diploma plus 4 years of work in the computer science field or associate degree plus 2 years’ experience in computer science field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of MS Office 365 and Adobe.
