Postsecondary College/University, Secondary School
International Team (I-Team) Educational Consultant
Elite Scholars of China (ESC) is the premier education consulting company in China. It aims to educate China's top high school students about their undergraduate options in the United States. ESC offers high-quality college-counseling services, SAT, ACT and TOEFL test planning, US college tours, and workshops to academically accomplished high school students from China.
As an I-Team Educational Consultant, you will serve as a mentor for top Chinese high school students attending North American secondary schools, guiding them to further their English literacy and critical thinking, reading, and writing skills, as well as leading them through the American college application process. With our seniors, you will work one-on-one to brainstorm essay ideas, develop their writing skills, practice interviewing, build and research college lists, and help them identify and achieve their educational aspirations. Your work with younger students will focus on helping them develop their academic and extracurricular skills and interests, plan for standardized testing, and work on personal goal-setting skills and achievement.
I-Team Educational Consultants work from their homes in North America, meeting remotely with students on a regular basis and remaining in contact with colleagues throughout the year for meetings, training, and collaborative projects.
ESC is also hiring consultants to work full-time in our Beijing office. This opportunity is great for someone who is excited to live and work in China and wants a more traditional work schedule and environment. If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please email Emma Schoenberger, Director of Recruitment, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
ESC invites 1-3 I-Team counselors to Beijing for a few weeks each summer to work with students, parents, and colleagues. During this time, they also participate in ESC staff meetings and training opportunities.
I-Team Educational Consultants also meet as a group twice a year in the US for professional development and discussion.
Please send your cover letter and resume to Emma Schoenberger, Director of Recruitment, at email@example.com. Feel free to contact her with questions!
We look forward to exploring the possibility of working together with you.
