The Senior Transfer Admissions Counselor plays a vital role in recruiting, building relationships with community college counselors and enrolling the necessary quantity and quality of transfer students to meet the enrollment goals of the university. The Senior Transfer Admissions Counselor is the first point of contact for students and families, manages a recruitment territory and actively analyzes data, developing marketing strategies and making admissions decisions designed to achieve the transfer goals of the institution. This person communicates with prospective students and their families about credit transfer and the application process, academic programs, extracurricular opportunities, housing, and costs/financial aid. The Senior Transfer Admissions Counselor uses ever-changing technology, including the Ellucian CRM Recruit, to communicate and track interactions with students.
Transfer Admission Application and Credit Transfer Review: Responsible for making initial admissions decisions for all new domestic transfer student applications. Calculate merit scholarship dollars extended to all admitted transfer students. Prepare unofficial evaluations of how students' courses will transfer and present that information during personal appointments, telephone calls, or electronic mail. Explain official degree evaluations to admitted students.
Territory Management and Data Analysis: Analyze recruitment data with the university CRM to strategize and manage a recruitment territory and to determine travel and communication plans. Implement effective technological communication and measure its success. Develop and implement new strategies, communication plans, and events to generate additional interest in Spalding University, to help students complete applications, and enroll at Spalding University.
· Travel to assigned recruitment territories including college fairs at community colleges, individual community college visits, presentations to student clubs and organizations related recruitment events
· Plan, organize and implement a data-driven recruitment strategy for undergraduate transfer students to meet overall university enrollment goals by utilizing available tools
· Facilitate timely and appropriate information delivery to prospective students to move students through the various stages of enrollment- from inquiry to applicant to admitted student
· Determine the prospective students' preferred method of communication incorporating all media types to ensure the transmission of information is complete
· Create and conduct follow up via phone, email, live chat, web, and other methods of communication with prospects and applicants.
· Provide substantive information on admission requirements and procedures, and undergraduate programs. Maintain appropriate follow-up communication with these students regarding the status of their application for admission
· Document ALL contact with applicants, counselors, parents, etc. in the university's designated contact relationship management tool and ERP system as directed
A Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and competitive industry is necessary. College admission experience, sales experience, strong business acumen, and experience working in a goal-oriented environment are strongly preferred. Excellent oral/written communication skills and group presentation skills required. Excellent technical/computer skills required – including Microsoft Word, Excel, database systems, etc. A mindset for marketing and promotion is very valuable. Ability to travel locally – access to automobile and valid driver's license is required

Experience in developing marketing or recruitment campaigns with an emphasis on the utilization of multiple tools to reach target market(s)
Data driven and familiarity with reporting & analysis
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is performed primarily in an office setting. Employee must be able to work in an environment characterized by occasional interruptions and fluctuating workloads with minimal direct supervision.
Sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds; to operate a desktop or laptop computer that requires repetitive hand movement and the use of a computer keyboard.
