The Admissions Counselor for Diversity Recruitment coordinates recruitment efforts for new students including first-time freshman and transfers. The admissions counselor will serve as ETSU's primary representative in promoting the university to prospective students, their parents, school officials, and the general public. The admissions counselor will provide counseling to students and their families about post-secondary options and recruit them to ETSU. The incumbent in this position conducts information sessions and plans and coordinates recruitment events targeted at minority, first-generation, low-income, and underrepresented populations. The admissions counselor works collaboratively with departments at ETSU who focus on meeting the needs of diverse student populations including the Multicultural Center, Language Cultural Resources Center, academic departments and colleges, and student services units. Availability for overnight travel and weekend work required.
