The Assistant Director will be responsible for helping build strategy around the recruitment of non-traditional students and coordinating the Office of Admissions transfer, military, and veteran's recruitment efforts. This position will represent UNL at community colleges college fairs, military specific recruitment events, community college visits, and other external events. This position will also help to build strategic relationships with key contacts at 2-year institutions. The assistant director in combination with their supervisor, will help report on the execution of strategy and tactics to senior leadership within the office of admissions. The coordinator will also be responsible for organizing on and off-campus events to support this special population. Responsible for interpreting admission, financial aid, and university policy to the general public. This position will supervise assistant admissions counselors within the office of admissions. This position is located on the UNL campus but extensive travel is required. This position requires many nights and weekends during peak times. Supervise student staff.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree plus one year of experience in sales, marketing, higher education or related area required. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills, public speaking experience and the ability to work independently. Ability to relate to people of all age groups, academic abilities and cultures necessary. Experience with Microsoft Office software essential. Must have ability to manage multiple priorities and complete assigned projects on time. Ability to learn new technologies essential.
Experience with transfer or military college students helpful. Undergraduate admissions recruitment experience preferred. Experience with student or staff supervision desirable. Prefer extensive involvement as an undergraduate.
Posted Salary: $40,000 minimum
