SALARY: The hiring range for pay grade 14 is $35,568-$53,247 and the target salary range for this position is $35,568-$39,988. RESPONSIBILITIES: The admissions advisor represents the University both on- and off-campus to a wide variety of constituents, including prospective students and their families, secondary and postsecondary school personnel, communitybased organizations, and other individuals or organizations involved in the college selection process. Plans and implements recruitment activities for an assigned territory or population, including programs and travel activities around Ohio and nationally. Coordinates and contributes to the success of initiatives designed to identify, attract, admit, and enroll students in Ohio University’s undergraduate programs. Develops and executes recruitment plans for assigned territory; manages activities occurring within the territory or affecting constituents within it. Initiates, develops, and maintains relationships with constituents within the territory, including prospective students and their families, secondary and postsecondary personnel, community-based organizations, and other individuals or organizations involved in the college selection process. Plans and executes on- and off-campus events to support recruitment, admission, and yield, not only for the assigned territory but also for broader audiences. Successful candidates must pass routine and continual background checks, university judiciary reviews, and driving record audits. Preferred qualifications: master’s degree; at least one year of experience in college admissions, academic advising in higher education, college student personnel, counseling or teaching in secondary schools.
