Arcadia University, a top-ranked private university in Greater Philadelphia, is seeking applications and nominations for the position of Vice President, Enrollment Management.
ABOUT ARCADIA UNIVERSITY
Arcadia University's mission is to provide a distinctively global, integrative, and personal learning experience for intellectually curious undergraduate and graduate students in preparation for a life of scholarship, service, and professional contribution. From its founding in 1853, Beaver College Seminary began as an institution offering women a liberal arts education. In the decades that followed, Beaver College became co-educational and, in July 2001, reimagined itself as Arcadia University. The institution gained notoriety for the development of such innovative academic programs as writing across the curriculum, percent for art program, and pioneering international education programs.
The arrival of Ajay Nair, Ph.D., as 22nd President of Arcadia University in 2018 began a transformative experience that 'UKnighted' a community that collaborated on emerging priorities. In building leadership capacity, Dr. Nair has assembled a strong leadership team that reflects the backgrounds and points of view of the student body. As president, Dr.Nair is driving discussion in higher education, and Arcadia is becoming a model for diversifying campus leadership; it's about "diversity of thought." The Vice President of Enrollment Management (VPEM) will be a welcomed member of this newly formed and high functioning President's Cabinet team.
In February of 2020, Arcadia unveiled its new strategic plan. The strategic plan, ARCADIA 2025, is an adaptive approach to strategy that allows Arcadia to address the disruptive and challenging landscape of higher education in often unknown and unknowable environments.
The VPEM reports to the President and leads the enrollment management function that includes undergraduate, graduate, and transfer admissions, financial aid, and enrollment systems and operations. The VPEM manages a team of 25 professional staff.
The VPEM must build upon the institution’s foundation and develop new, nimble, dynamic structures to help Arcadia realize its vision. This position is an integral leader and partner in developing and advancing the brand narrative, image, and reputation across the region, nation, and world. The Enrollment Management function strives to be a recognized leader among the higher education community by exceeding our stakeholder expectations and for meeting institutional enrollment, reputational, and student success goals. The new VPEM will play pivotal role shaping and building a values-based learning community that reflects the world in which we want to live.
