Raritan Valley Community College has an anticipated opening of Admissions Recruiter for the Admissions department.
Under the direction of the Executive Director of Enrollment Management, the Admissions Recruiter develops and implements strategies to recruit prospective students in order to support the College's enrollment strategic goals and mission. This position is expected to establish and meet annual recruitment goals by developing key relationships with high schools, businesses, and community organizations; organizing recruitment events; making presentations to groups; and developing and implementing a communications plan for following up with potential students. The position requires participation at evening and weekend off-campus events.
Under the direction of the Executive Director of Enrollment Management develop an annual recruitment plan based on demographic and market research with specific strategies to reach prospective students and defined enrollment goals.
Build a network of relationships with high schools, businesses, and community organizations in order to enhance outreach to prospective students.
Develop presentations to promote the benefits of the College to various constituencies utilizing traditional formats and new technologies.
Develop a communications plan to follow up on leads, identify new opportunities in the service area, and respond to inquiries from prospective students using all available technologies including email, artificial intelligence, texting, Live Chat, and social media.
Maintain a system to track the status of prospective students in the enrollment funnel in order to take proactive steps to generate maximum yield.
In partnership with the Director of K-12 Partners, build pathways for Concurrent Enrollment students to continue their education at the College as Early Credit, Visiting and fully matriculated students.
Work with the directors/managers of the College's noncredit programs to build pathways for students to transition from non-credit programs - including high school equivalency and ESL - to credit programs.
Provide excellent customer service to prospective students through all phases of the admissions process.
Assist with the execution of department processes and programs including utilizing recruitment software, planning special events, and processing admissions packets.
Manage the student ambassador program for Admissions & Recruitment events.
Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with campus departments in order to solicit their support and suggestions for recruiting prospective students.

Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of 2-4 years experience in admissions recruitment, sales or marketing that involved heavy volume of interaction and communication with potential clients and/or cold calling activities required.
Prior experience that involved the development and delivery of professional presentations/speeches and the delivery of information to a diverse population in person, electronically and via the phone.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and prior exposure to a database system; ability to create standard documents and reports.
Proficient organizational skills and attention to detail, specifically constituent relationship management, and excellent interpersonal communications skills required with strong verbal and written skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment as well as individually with a customer service-oriented attitude required.
Ability to manage multiple projects, multiple deadlines and work in multi-disciplinary environment required
Must possess a vehicle and valid driver's license in good standing and willingness to travel with assigned territory.
Work hours vary at different times of the year. Responsible for representing the College at evening and weekend events.
Prior experience with the student/educator/adult student population.
Prior exposure and success with achieving desired goals or targets and an understanding of strategic recruiting, marketing or sales tactics.
Requires sitting, standing, bending, kneeling and/or crouching, walking, and climbing.
Looking at and utilizing dual computer monitors.
Occasionally move and lift up to 50 pounds.
