The Admissions Counselor is responsible for substantial recruitment of prospective freshman and transfer students through school visits, college fairs, and information sessions.
Specific duties include: conducting information sessions; reviewing freshman and transfer applications; rendering appropriate admissions decisions; maintaining ongoing communication with prospective and admitted students and their families; assisting in programmatic efforts; applying university policies; recruiting prospective freshmen and transfer students through high school and college visits, college fairs, and by maintaining ongoing communication with students; conducting information sessions and representing the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Orientation and the University at related recruitment, admissions and orientation functions; reading applications and rendering admissions decisions; serving on office committees to support recruitment and yield efforts, and performing other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and possess a valid driver's license.

Experience working with an Admissions office or higher education experience.
