NDSCS is seeking a Director of Admission to lead the admission and recruitment strategy for NDSCS. This leadership position reports to the VP for Student Affairs and is responsible for the management and coordination of all admission-related programs, services and activities – including departmental human and fiscal resource management, designing, implementing, and evaluating programs and the operational systems to support recruitment, and new student communication and marketing. The director will be tasked with reviewing necessary data and information to formulate effective, strategic, College-wide admission and recruitment plans/goals. Additionally, this position will focus on building relationships with all stakeholders while ensuring compliance with applicable policies.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in communication, marketing, or other closely related field
Three years of professional experience in higher education (or closely related field).
Capacity to think strategically and to work creatively to meet established goals.
Proven ability to supervise and motivate staff: hiring, training, orientation, evaluation, coaching, managing meetings, policy development, and establishing goals.
Proven ability to make strategic, data-informed decisions.
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, including persuasive presentation abilities to audiences of all sizes.
Self-directed and intrinsically motivated to succeed.
Verified interpersonal and relationship-development skills with diverse individuals and organizations.
Ability to travel overnight occasionally, particularly during the fall, throughout the MN/SD/ND region (and nationally infrequently).
Master’s degree in communication, higher education, or closely related field.
3+ years of direct experience in admission office of non-profit regionally accredited college/university.
Communication, marketing, and/or public relations experience.
Proven ability to foster equity and inclusion, and create a diverse, inclusive work environment.
