JOBSUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the Assistant Director ofAdmissions, this position provides assistance and support in applicationprocessing, effective guidance and counseling, student activities, operations, policiesand procedures, and communications for the Office of Enrollment Management.
Processes applicant materials and updates student information software on a daily basis.
Assists in providing ongoing communication (e.g., phone calls, scheduled appointments, walk-ins, and e-mail) and guidance to potential students (e.g., regarding college and program specific information), reviewing transcript(s) of potential students, and referring international students to an evaluation service for transcript review.
Plans, coordinates, and executes recruitment activities, including development and distribution of recruitment materials, publications, and responding to inquiries as it relates to campus tours.
Communicates to the prospective student(s) and/or parents regarding campus tour visit days, available tour times.
Schedules meeting space for program specific presentations.
Provides assigned programs with a report of campus visitors and potential candidates for additional follow-up.
Assists in the development, maintenance and execution of the department's communication plan to prospective and admitted students.
Assists, plans, coordinates, and executes activities related to incoming "new" students, to include orientation activities-program enrollment-and graduation ceremonies.
Assists with coordinating activities related to the continual improvement of admissions business processes, to include interfacing with the colleges regarding applicants throughout the process and preparation of application materials for faculty review.
Assists key administrators obtain pertinent information regarding applicant file review, admission committee process, admissions decision, and interfacing with the Registrar, Financial Aid Office and Bursar to meet enrollment goals.
Reviews and evaluates effective policies and procedures to include reviewing UTHSC websites, catalog, and e-view book.
