JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the AssistantDirector of Admissions Operations, this position provides ongoing support,communication, and activities relating to all university educational programsto prospective students, their families, and members of our community. Specificduties include processing admissions applications, evaluating academic credentials,providing large group presentations, one-on-one counseling, and writteninformation to guide students and colleagues in navigating admissionsrequirements and processes.
Helps provide ongoing communication and assists with campus and program recruitment presentations to students, college programs, and the campus community.
Oversees Admissions Counselors daily operations reporting for Banner and OnBase.
Presides over large/small group informational meetings for prospective and enrolled students.
Provides with a report of campus visitors and potential candidates for additional follow-up to assigned programs.
Assists with developing, maintaining, and executing the department's standard operating procedures.
Participates in planning, coordinating, and executing activities such as orientation, program enrollment, and graduation ceremonies for incoming students.
Trains Admission Counselors on application process improvements.
Assists college program administrators obtain applicant file reviews, admission committee processes, and admissions decisions.
Convenes with the Registrar and Financial Aid offices to discuss enhancing student experiences and delivering exceptional customer service.
Assists formulate admissions communications in Banner Self-Service.
Provides the Assistant Director of Admissions with weekly admissions counselor software status updates.
Serves as the lead Admissions Counselor tester for system and software enhancements and provides application process cross-training to admissions counselors.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
