The Admissions Counselor III, under general supervision, functions as the senior-level counselor identifying, recruiting, and contributing to increase the population of admittance and enrollment.
Counsels prospective applicants. One-on-one admissions counseling occurs primarily through phone calls, email, text, letters and some in person/virtual appointments.
Responds to all questions and follow up with inquiries and applicants via telephone, text and email to increase engagement, conversion, yield, and retention. Keeps applicants regularly informed of their application status, notify of deadlines and application decisions while also communicating with departments.
Processes and evaluates documents for admissions, i.e., admissions applications, transcripts, and letters of recommendations.
Completes data entry into Banner (SIS), Recruit (CRM), and other new technology.
Assists in marketing to potential applicants, participates in the development of publications, web pages, and digital communications designed to reach and engage students, and monitors, measures, and performs statistical analysis of data to determine the effectiveness of outreach strategies related to transfer enrollment goals.
Collaborates with Transfer Articulation Team, Transfer Recruitment Officer and Assistant Director to ensure the a seamless enrollment process.
Assists with special projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor?s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years of Admissions related experience,
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Knowledge of admissions functions of higher education.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to present information clearly and concisely.
