The day program at St. Andrew's serves students at all grade levels, while the boarding program is for grades 9 and above. While the school continues to operate longstanding and well-respected summer programs, it simultaneously recognizes the opportunity to develop and grow new programs to achieve untapped potential. The position will benefit from strong leadership support and regular participation in the school’s senior leadership team. The new Director of Auxiliary Programs will report to the Head of School and work collaboratively across other departments of the school including the Business Office, Athletics, Marketing, and Admissions. Summer Programs
Young Saints Day Camp The Young Saints camp is geared towards students ages 5-10 and has a different theme each week. Campers can sign up for one week or multiple weeks. Activities include everything from cooking to sports to farming and science exploration..
Adventure Camps One week programs engage 10-15 year old campers in adventure activities including a high and low ropes course. Additional sessions take place off campus exploring the outdoors of Rhode Island and enjoying the challenges and thrills of each adventure activity including rock climbing, kayaking paddleboarding, and hiking.
Basketball Camp St. Andrew’s coaches Michael Hart and John O’Shea lead the highly regarded “Hoops with Hart” Basketball Camp. Campers learn about the game of basketball, gain valuable life skills, make new friends, have fun, and receive awards and prizes on completion.
Science Camps These specialized, week long opportunities are designed to engage campers in everything from robotics to 3D Printing and Engineering. Sessions are led by St. Andrew’s faculty members in small groups of campers ages 8-15.
Arts Camps The art studio buzzes with activity as artists, ages 8-12, learn to create artworks combining painting, collage, printmaking, and sculpture. Young artists explore color, line, shape, and form as they create under the guidance of St. Andrew’s visual arts faculty. Projects are designed to boost confidence in a supportive environment where children can hone skills and experiment with new materials. Facility Rentals St. Andrew’s leverages the value of its exceptional campus through facility rentals. The school sees this as a potential growth area through enhanced partnerships and dedicated efforts to increase facility rentals throughout the year. Summary Description Reporting to the Head of School, the Director of Auxiliary Programs is responsible for strategic planning, operations, market development, program design, budgeting, and evaluation of all St. Andrew’s Auxiliary Programs including summer day and overnight programs, enrichment programs, strategic partnerships, and the rental of St. Andrew’s facilities.
Essential Functions and Key Objectives
Strategic Program Development Build vibrant programs that achieve desired admissions goals, annual and long-term net revenue targets, and support the school’s mission and program.
Program Management Ensure program participants have a safe and positive experience such that they return and/or recommend our programs to others.
Financial Management Ensure that the Auxiliary Programs’ financial performance meets or exceeds budgeted expectations.
Marketing and Communications Effectively promote the programs so as to achieve the enrollment and revenue targets.
Recruitment Ensure that summer and auxiliary programs serve as a recruiting tool for St. Andrew’s School admissions.
Administration and Operations Ensure that the administration of the programs is efficient and effective.
Human Resources Hire and manage to build a qualified, effective, and customer-focused team.
